CAIRO 12May 2017: The Ministry of Culture recently issued Sinai Embroidery Guide, the Units, the Arches, the Barriers, the Water book written by Sinai heritage expert Kamal Abdullah Al-Helou. The book explains Egyptian life in Sinai.

The book is a part of a series of books to be published by the Cultural Development Fund sector on Egyptian life in the border provinces. This series includes a thorough explanation of the heritage, nature and lifestyle of each governorate.

The book is divided into three chapters. The first discusses "the social function of embroidery and the basic elements of embroidery". The second chapter deals with the decorative units and the arches .The third chapter contains pictures of some designs that were designed from the decorative units.

Culture Minister Hilmi Al-Namnam said that the book is the beginning of a series of books aimed at documenting the heritage life in the border provinces, pointing out that the book came to reflect the life momentum.

Dr. Ahmed Awad, head of the Cultural Development Fund Sector, confirmed that the book is the beginning of a series of books that monitor the conditions of the border provinces, in accordance with the principle of cultural justice, and try to show what distinguishes each province.
