CAIRO – 5 November 2017: The Egyptian veteran theatrical actress Samiha Ayoub who is dubbed as “The lady of the Arab Theater” was chosen to be the guest of “Molhem” (Inspired) project organized by the Supreme Council of Culture and Tahrir Lounge.

Ayoub is expected to meet with the students of Lycee El-Horreya School on Monday November 6, at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, November 7, Ayoub is scheduled to meet with the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts’ students along with the institute dean Ashraf Zaki. On the last day of the project, Wednesday, November 8, Ayoub will attend an open seminar in the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Culture at 6 p.m.

Ayoub was born in Shubra, Cairo, in 1932. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1952. Ayoub was the student of the great theatrical artist Zaki Toulaimat.

She later joined the Al-Qawmmy Theater (The National Theater), and she later became its director (1975-1985). Ayoub also managed the Modern Theater (1972-1975).

For her outstanding career both in cinema and theater and her contributions to the theatrical arts in Egypt, they named the big hall in the National Theater after Ayoub, in a celebration that took place in 2015.
