CAIRO – 15 October 2017: The world’s leading internet streaming service Netflix has confirmed on Sunday that a documentary on Juventus FC is in the works. The documentary will depict stories of the Italian powerhouse football club.

The docu-series will feature four hour-long episodes that will be released worldwide in early 2018. Netflix also mentioned in its statement that it will track down the most appealing stories and personalities in the club.

The Netflix team will follow players and staff members both on and off the field in order to capture their lives and the reality that makes Juventus one of the most fascinating teams in the world.

The reality-oriented show will allow viewers to have access to the lives of the members of the club; shedding light on the major footballers in history and marking the victories of the club that has previously won six league titles.

“Netflix is the home of passionate storytelling, and there are no more passionate fans than tifosi of the bianconeri. We are excited to have unique, exclusive access to one of the most important squads in the world,” said Erik Barmack, vice president of series at Netflix, in the statement.

Federic Palomba, co-chief revenue officer at the club, explained that Juventus is proud to be the first football club featured in a Netflix original documentary, emphasizing the importance of this sport entertainment brand.
