The Equalizer

Denzel Washington is ex-special agent Robert McCall, who comes to the rescue of Teri (Moretz), a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters. Of course, Washington marks no resemblance to the late British actor Edward Woodward, the original McCall in the popular 1980s TV series The Equalizer. But this new adaptation is an excuse to create an action vehicle for Washington (there is already a plan for a second film) and reunite him with Antoine Fuqua, the director of Training Day that got Washington an Oscar. et
