KHARTOUM – 4 August 2017: Egypt has been chosen as the guest of honor at the Khartoum International Book Fair, due to kick off in October in the Sudanese capital.

Speaking to MENA on Friday, Deputy Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan Karim Essam El Din said that a committee of the Egyptian Embassy and the Sudanese Culture Ministry was formed to make the necessary preparations for this important event.

The diplomat added that he held a meeting with Undersecretary of the Sudanese Culture Ministry Karam Allah Hamid to discuss the final arrangements for the fair, as well as the Egyptian figures and parties that are expected to participate in the event.

This comes as part of the two countries’ keenness on strengthening bilateral relations, he said.
