In line with its commitment to diverse and inspiring content, United Media Services presents Dawlet El Telawa (The State of Recitation) on Al Hayah Channel starting November 14, where the voice of the Holy Quran rises above all.
The Ministry of Awqaf announced that the Dawlet El Telawa competition, organized in collaboration with United Media Services represented by Masr Qur’an Karim TV channel and its application, stands as a major and unprecedented national contest with more than 14,000 participants from across Egypt.
The competition’s goal is to uncover Egypt’s most beautiful voices, reviving the legacy of the great Egyptian school of recitation, once led by iconic voices such as Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hosary, Sheikh Mohammed Rifaat, Sheikh Al-Minshawi, Sheikh Abdel Basit Abdel Samad, and Sheikh Mustafa Ismail.
Dawlet El Telawa offers total prizes worth 2.75 million EGP, with the ultimate reward being the spiritual honor of connecting with the Holy Qur’an. The first-place winner will have their full recitation professionally recorded and broadcast on the Masr Qur’an Karim channel and other stations.
The ministry affirmed that Egypt will always remain the true “State of Recitation,” a cradle of Qur’an recitation talents, praising the partnership between the Ministry of Awqaf and United Media Services for nurturing and honoring Egypt’s future reciters.
