CAIRO - 28 July 2017: The Egyptian-Afro-Asian Association organized the celebration of the Creators of Egypt and the Arab world, under the auspices of Dr.

Mohamed Ashoub, at the theater of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday.

During the Celebration, honorary doctorate was granted to the creative musician and composer Hilmi Bakr from the American Center in Los Angeles after being nominated by the Afro-Asian Society in cooperation with the Afro-Arab Council.

A number of icons of art, media, literature, direction, costume design in Egypt and the Arab world, including the veteran Egyptian author and script writer of El-Gamaa Series 2 Waheed Hamid were honored in this ceremony.

Cast and actors starring El-Gamaa Series 2 were celebrated and honored together with other actors such as Mohammed Fahim, Rashwan Tawfiq, Abdel Aziz Makhion, director Mohamed Fadel, Ahmed Badir, Amr Leithi, Tamer Abdel Moneim, Mahmoud el-Gendy, Nedal el-Shafei, Ahmed Azmi, Mohamed Fahim, director Abdel-Ghani Zaki, director Hosni Salih, director Mohamed Fadel, director Khaled Galal, director Majdi Abou Amira.

‘El-Gamaa 2’ is deemed one of the most controversial dramas this Ramadan is written by Hamed. The show, with a title that translates to ‘The Group,’ was expected to be controversial, as it delves into a hot topic: historical events related to the Muslim Brotherhood and the positions of national leaders including the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and former Al-Wafd Party leader Mostafa el-Nahas.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of the Arab-Afro-Arabian Council, chaired by Prince Turk Bin Saud and the Secretary General Dr. Khalid Abdul Aziz Al-Zair, in cooperation with the Gulf Union, the Arab Foundation for Diplomatic Relations and Human Rights.
