CAIRO – 21 July 2017: The renowned Egyptian actor Sherif Mounir expressed his happiness as a result of the success Al Zebaq (The mercury) series has achieved when it was screened last Ramadan.

‘’The soap opera aims to increase Egyptian youth awareness as well as elevating their patriotic feeling,’’ said Mounir during his interview in El Gawla el Fania (The artistic tour) program that was screened on On TV last Sunday.

Mounir announced that Al Zebaq script writer started writing the script of the series part 2. He noted that Al Zebaq part 2 script will focus on the intelligence side more than the social side. ‘’ Part 2 will be hotter than you can imagine,’’ Mounir added.

Mounir explained that the social side was more prevailing in part 1. ‘’ The script writer while writing part 1 script discovered that the series cannot be executed in one part, so he decided to focus more on the social side in part 1, while stressing more on the intelligence side in part 2,’’ Mounir explained.

Al Zebaq series incidents occurred in the period from 1998 to 2003. The soap opera portrays a true story taken from the files of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate.

Al Zebaq series revolves around an Egyptian Young man named Omar, performed by the Egyptian mega star Karim Abdel Aziz who is working as surveillance cameras technician.
