CAIRO – 7 November 2022: Picasso East Art Gallery inaugurated an art exhibition titled “Recycled” in conjunction with the launch of the United Nations Climate Summit (COP27) currently held in Sharm El-Sheikh. The exhibition displays the works of 17 plastic artists.

The inauguration was held in the presence of a number of plastic artists, media professionals and public figures.

The plastic artists used various recycled remnants of different materials to form an integrated artwork. Leftovers of scrap, copper, iron, cloth, burlap and glass were used in the artwork.

The artist Mahmoud Hamed said that plastic arts are an integral part of the state’s system, and while Egypt hosts the Climate Summit, the entire system will be focusing on the event, as plastic art is an important part of the mission to clarify the concept of climate and its importance.
