CAIRO – 3 August 2021: The Egyptian Architecture House of the Cultural Development Fund sector is holding a symposium entitled: Reviving the "New Hermopolis" project. The symposium will be moderated by Mervat Abdel-Naser on August 3 at 6 p.m.

The symposium will discuss the project (Heritage for Development in New Hermopolis - Ashmounites, Minya). The Thoth Festival, which began in October 2015, aims to revive an ancient Egyptian feast called "The Right & Truth" in honor of (Thoth), the ancient Egyptian deity, who was called "the father of architecture and arts”.

During the symposium, Abdel Naser will speak about the details of the 7th edition of the festival and the participants as an initial step towards documenting rural architecture threatened with extinction. She will also shed light on her book published in English under the title: "Why did Horus lose his eye?"
