Egypt’s culture min. launches 3rd phase of ‘Ahl Masr’ project

CAIRO – 1 August 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem launched the third phase of the "Ahl Masr" project [People of Egypt], which is organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces.

Abdel Dayem stated that the "Ahl Masr" project aims to instill positive values in children to create a new, conscious generation capable of completing the state’s construction and development process. The project also teaches its participants various skills, and holds many artistic workshops training them on traditional crafts to preserve the national identity.

This is in addition to introducing aspects of the civilized history of Egypt by visiting all archaeological areas in the targeted governorates.

The minister indicated that the project’s activities include presenting publications on citizenship and acceptance of the other, and highlighting the national symbols and flags of literature and art.

Abdel Dayem pointed out that the previous two stages of the project yielded amazing results after studying the children's reactions and response to the activities provided to them on a daily basis and examining the activities’ positive impact on the children’s behavior in general.
