Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture celebrates Egyptian-Cypriot cultural relations on July 28

CAIRO – 22 July 2021: Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture is organizing a symposium entitled "Egypt-Cyprus: Cultural Relations", within the activities of the Cultural Relations Initiative, on July 28 at 6 p.m.

 

 

 

The symposium will host Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Cairo, and Mai Khalil, former Egyptian Ambassador to Cyprus and Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Non-Governmental Organization Affairs, in addition to a  group of intellectuals interested in the Egyptian-Cypriot relations.

 

 

 

For her part, Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem confirmed that the symposium comes in light of the common orientation of Egypt and Cyprus and their keenness to support and enhance the various aspects of cooperation between the two countries.

 

 

 

Abdel Dayem indicated that the Cultural Relations Initiative sheds light on the creative aspects in the countries of the world that have friendship ties with Egypt, emphasizing that it is one of the distinctive models of partnership between national state institutions, as it is carried out in coordination between the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs.
