CAIRO – 1 July 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem is launching a major artistic celebration organized by the Egyptian Opera House on the occasion of the centenary of establishing Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria.

 

 

 

The celebratory activities will launch on July 4 and will run for four days, precisely on July 4, 5, 7,8 in Alexandria Opera House.

 

 

 

Abdel Dayem said that Egypt enjoys a rich history in all fields, and its architecture represents an important part of its cultural heritage. She pointed out that Sayed Darwish Theater represents one of the prominent landmarks in Alexandria, and is a witness to many of the artistic and historical events that took place in the city of Al-Thaghr.

 

 

 

Also, Abdel Dayem stated that celebrating the centenary of establishing Sayed Darwish Theater comes within the strategy of acquainting new generations with bright pages of Egypt’s history, emphasizing our pride in the nation’s icons that formed its soft power.
