Al-Sharjah Book Authority to host discussion session with Egyptian novelist Ahmed Murad on June 11

CAIRO – 9 June 2021: As part of the SBA Book Club activities, the Sharjah Book Authority will host the Egyptian novelist Ahmed Murad, in a remote session, during which he will discuss his latest novel, "Locandet Beir El-Wataweet".

 

 

 

This will be held on June 11 at 7 p.m. through the “Al-Sharjah Reads” platform.

 

 

 

The session will be moderated by media personality Nada Al-Shaibani, and will deal with the novel "Locandet Beir El-Wataweet", which begins after finding a diary dating back to 1865.

 

 

 

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian novelist Ahmed Murad is one of the most prominent writers of thrillers. He is also interested in photography, screenwriting and graphic design.

 

 

 

Murad published several successful novels, including "1919", “Ard el-Ellah” [The Land of God] and “Torab Almas” [Diamond Dust].

 

 

 

Through a series of open dialogue sessions held remotely, the SBA Book Club provides readers and book lovers with the opportunity to meet with senior Arab and international novelists, within the Sharjah Book Authority’s efforts to promote cultural mobility and support the knowledge industry.
