CAIRO – 27 May 2021: The Heliopolis Association hosts the largest African gathering in a celebration that blends all forms of arts and cultures of African countries on the occasion of Africa Day on May 29 at 12 p.m. 

 

 

 

The event will take place in Heliopolis Library, one of the cultural fortresses of the association, and will be held in cooperation with the Sudanese Cultural Center, Dar Sudan, with the participation of African communities in Egypt.

 

 

 

Chairman of the Heliopolis Association Nabil Helmy said that the celebration comes in light of the association’s keenness to communicate with the people of Africa and bridge the different African cultures and civilizations.

 

 

 

He pointed out that the celebration is one of the activities organized by the association, with the aim to allow the African peoples to showcase their arts and heritage, and connect with one another.

 

 

 

It is noteworthy that the world celebrates Africa Day on May 25, which is the anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity.

 

 

 

The day symbolizes the spirit of African solidarity, the continent’s leaders and their sense of unity of purpose and destiny to find African solutions to the challenges facing the continent.
