Africa celebrates its unity on May 25

CAIRO – 25 May 2021: The African unity is celebrated annually on Africa Day, which falls on May 25.

The story began in the year 1963, when the Organization of African Unity was established. The leaders of 30 independent African countries, led by Egypt, signed the founding charter of the Organization of African Unity.

That is why it was decided after that, and in appreciation of the value of the unity of the people of Africa, that this date would be Africa Day.
