CAIRO – 12 April 2021: On April 12, many important events that changed the world map took place.

 

Important world events:-
 

1663 - The Ottoman Empire declares war on the Holy Roman Empire after 56 years of the Peace of Zsitvatorok, which stopped the previous war between them. This time, the reason for the war was that the Germans built a fortress on the border with the Ottoman Empire.

 

1861 - The American Civil War begins in the southern states.

 

1937 - Sir Frank Whittle tests the first on-ground jet engine designed to operate an airliner at the British Thompson Houston Factory in Rugby City in England.

 

1945 - United States President Franklin Roosevelt dies, and Vice President Harry Truman takes over the presidency, becoming its 33rd president.

 

1961 - Soviet astronaut Yuri Gagarin makes the first human flight into space on board the Vostok 1.
