Agriculture minister underlines importance of exports

CAIRO - 27 OCtober 2020: Minister of Agriculture El Sayyed El Qusair on Tuesday underlined the importance of agricultural exports for the national economy.

At a meeting of the agricultural exports council, he added that increasing agricultural exports will save more hard currency for Egypt.


He lauded efforts of exporters and producers in this regard despite the consequences of the spread of coronavirus in the world.


The Egyptian government supports exporters and seeks to open new markets for agricultural exports, he added. 


The Ministry of Agriculture had announced an increase of agricultural exports to more than 4.4 million tons this year.
