CAIRO – 25 October 2020: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session in red, losing LE 10.41 billion of market capitalization, amid Araba nd foreign selling.

 

The benchmark EGX30 dipped  3.50 percent, or 384.45 points, to close at 10,602.98 points.

 

The equally weighted index EGX 50 decreased 2.17 percent, or 43.25 points, to end at 1,945.69 points.

 

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 dropped 1.98 percent, or 36.12 points, to close at 1,784.57 points, and the broader index EGX 100 declined 1.77 percent, or 47.53 points to 2,645 points.

 

Market capitalization lost around LE 10.41 billion, recording LE 598.7 billion, compared to LE 609.12 billion in Thursday's session.

 

The trading volume reached 244.92 million shares, traded through 33,729 transactions, with a turnover of LE 871.25 million. 

 

Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 109.45 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 17.47 million, and LE 91.97 million, respectively. 

 

Arab, and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 29.41 million, and LE 10.21 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 70.74 million.

 

Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 38.71 million, and LE 11.94 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 81.76 million.

 

Reacap Financial Investments, General Company for Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction, and Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co were top gainers of the session at 8.53 percent, 8.17 percent and 8.06 percent, respectively. 

 

Meanwhile, Osool ESB Securities Brokerage, Marsa Marsa Alam for Tourism Development, and Egyptians Housing Development & Reconstruction were top losers of the session by 9.62 percent, 9.32 percent, and 8.89 percent, respectively.
