CAIRO – 15 June 2017: Elsewedy Electric’s subsidiary (Elsewedy for Trade and Distribution) will build 5,000 kV transmission lines in Upper Egypt with the length of 3,356 km, the company said Thursday.
In a statement to the Egyptian Exchange, Elsewedy said the project contract was signed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract was signed with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
Elsewedy Electric posted LE 3.95 billion ($218 million) in net profit in 2016, compared to LE 1.33 billion in 2015. The standalone net profit was LE 975 million, up from LE 754 million in the previous year.
