USD exchange rate steady, GBP down 35 piasters

CAIRO – 12 June 2017: Foreign currency exchange rates stabilized against the Egyptian pound in Monday’s banking transactions, as the U.S. dollar exchange recorded an average of LE 18.03 for buying and LE 18.14 for selling.

Meanwhile, the euro rate recorded an average of L LE 20.18 for buying and LE 20.31 for selling, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) rates.

Falling by 35 piasters for buying, the British Pound (GBP) marked an average of LE 22.98, down from LE 23.33 Sunday, while it stood at LE 23.13 for selling down from LE 23.46 on the prior day.

Arab currencies remained stable against the Egyptian pound as the Saudi riyal marked LE 4.81 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling, and the Emirati dirham recorded LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.93 for buying.

After hiking 30 piasters Saturday, the Kuwaiti dinar stabilized as well as LE 59.44 for buying and LE 59.80 for selling.
