KUWAIT CITY/BEIJING - 26 April 2019: Kuwait's Ambassador to China Samih Jowhar Hayat said that his country will sign two memorandums of understanding with China on the sidelines of the second session of Belt and Road Initiative forum, which was launched in Beijing on Friday under the patronage and attendance of Chinese President Xi Jinping, state news agency KUNA reported.

The ambassador noted that one of the MoUs will be signed with China Development Government Bank, pointing out that it is related to development, construction and consultative cooperation.

The second MoU is set to be signed with the State Urban Planning Commission, which is related to the organization of consultative planning, the ambassador explained.

Kuwait is the first country in the world to sign a MoU on
cooperation with China regarding the "Belt and Road" initiative after it was announced in September 2013, he added.
