CAIRO – 5 March 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud checked major national projects at Suez Canal region on Monday.
Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish summarized developments of the Suez Canal axis project in front of President Sisi and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salaman.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi signed four agreements in the first day of bin Salman's visit to Egypt, the Saudi Foreign Affairs Ministry said on its official Twitter account.
The deals included a cooperation agreement, signed between the Egyptian Environment Ministry and its Saudi counterpart, in the field of environmental protection and slashing pollution.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Egyptian Investment and International Cooperation Ministry inked a deal to launch Saudi-Egyptian investment fund.
The Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) and Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) also signed a cooperation agreement for boosting investments.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, known as MBS, arrived in Egypt on Sunday for a three-day visit, before travelling to London.
Ambassador Bassam Radi, the official spokesperson of the Egyptian Presidency, revealed to Egypt Today that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and MBS are expected to engage into intensive talks tackling the recent developments in the region such as the ongoing wars in Syria and Yemen.
“Bilateral economic relations and combating terrorism will top the agenda of both leaders,” Radi told Egypt Today on Sunday.
