CAIRO – 24 February 2018: Minister of Agriculture Abdel Moneim el-Banna emphasized the political leadership’s keenness to intensify agricultural cooperation with Sudan to maintain food security in a way that serves the interests of the Egyptian and Sudanese peoples.

In statements at a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Abdul Latif Ajimi, Banna hailed as “good and historic” Cairo-Khartoum relations, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a press release Saturday.

The meeting was held at the conclusion of the two-day FAO Regional Conference for Africa organized in Khartoum.

The talks touched on means of boosting agricultural cooperation and removing all obstacles facing agricultural investment.

The two sides also agreed to exchange relevant expertise and research as well as to train Sudanese cadres and augment their capabilities
