CAIRO - 11 December 2017: Egypt is looking forward to increasing Russian investment in Egypt, especially in the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said Monday.

During a conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is currently visiting Cairo, Sisi witnessed signing of initial agreements to start working on Dabaa nuclear plant.

"Russia is giving huge importance to its economic ties with Egypt," Putin said, noting that the project is expected to amount to $7 billion serving industrial and logistics sectors.

The trade ties relation with Cairo was fruitful in 2017 as bilateral trade exceeded $4 billion, Putin added.
