CAIRO – 22 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions positively Wednesday on Arab purchases.
Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.83 percent to stand at 13,839 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 1.41 percent to end at 761.37 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 1.81 percent to close at 1,738.7 points.
Market capitalization jumped LE 9.6 billion to record LE 777.661 billion, up from LE 768.024 billion registered at the end of Tuesday transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors as well as foreign institutions were net sellers at LE 47.2 million, LE 50,000 and LE 20.9 million respectively. Meanwhile, foreign individuals and Egyptian and Arab institutions purchased at LE 8.3 million, LE 46.8 million and LE 13.1 million.
Shares of 114 companies recorded increases, while 39 others saw declines. Meanwhile, shares of 39 firms remained unchanged.
