Minister of Supply chairs wheat committee meeting

CAIRO - 4 November 2017: Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi on Saturday chaired a meeting of the wheat higher committee to discuss preparation for the new season.

During the meeting, the minister asserted the government is keen on supporting Egyptian farmers and ready to buy wheat from them at world market prices.

He asserted that funds are provided by the government to pay for the producers without delay.

The minister asked the committee to provide answers for all questions raised by the farmers in this regard in order to protect wheat farming in Egypt.

Also, the committee would take the measures to make sure all public and private barns are ready to receive shipments.
