CAIRO - 21 June 2026: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) recorded gains at the start of the week, with the market capitalization of listed companies rising by around LE 20 billion during Sunday’s session, bringing total market value to approximately LE 3.761 trillion.
Total market turnover reached about LE 24.6 billion, including bond and treasury bill transactions as well as transfer of ownership deals, while equity trading alone amounted to around LE 9.1 billion.
Market performance was supported by buying activity from institutions and foreign investment funds, in addition to Arab, Egyptian, and foreign retail investors. Meanwhile, Arab and foreign institutional investors tended toward net selling.
The benchmark EGX30 rose by 0.11 percent to close at 52,679.45 points.
The EGX70 index for small and medium-sized stocks climbed 1.39 percent to 15,759.79 points, while the broader EGX100 index increased 1.11 percent to 21,591.9 points.
