EGX30 down 0.65% as small caps rise; turnover hits LE 7.7B

CAIRO - 4 May 2026: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 fell 0.65 percent to 51,973 points at Monday’s close, while smaller-cap indices moved higher.
 
The EGX70 rose 0.59 percent to 14,387 points and the EGX100 gained 0.15 percent to 19,973 points. The Sharia index declined 0.35 percent to 5,622 points, and EGX35-LV slipped 0.56 percent to 5,853 points.
 
Market capitalization stood at LE 3.681 trillion.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 489.78 million, while Arabs and foreigners were net sellers at LE 201.4 million and LE 288.38 million, respectively.
 
Total turnover reached LE 7.7 billion, with 2.61 billion shares traded across 266,070 transactions.
