He expressed interest in expanding cooperation to support the Egypt Vision 2030 agenda, focusing on technical expertise, private sector capacity building, and digital transformation.
Ould Tah emphasized the AfDB’s commitment to Egypt as a strategic partner, citing the country's progress in economic reform. He noted the bank's intent to increase investments in sectors promoting sustainable growth.
The meeting touched on flagship projects like the Benban Solar Park and sustainable transport in Greater Cairo and the New Administrative Capital.
Abdelatty also highlighted the upcoming African Business Forum in New Alamein in June, inviting the bank to participate.
In a Sunday ceremony, both parties signed two agreements for technical studies on a renewable energy-powered water desalination project.
The initiative aims to establish five desalination plants across four governorates to bolster Egypt’s water security.
