CAIRO - 16 April 2026: Egypt’s stock market closed Thursday’s session higher, with total market capitalization rising by about LE 23 billion to LE 3.539 trillion.
Total turnover reached approximately LE 113.8 billion, including bond and treasury bill transactions as well as block trades, while equity trading stood at around LE 11.7 billion.
Gains were driven by net buying from Arab and foreign institutions, along with retail investors, while local institutions were net sellers.
The benchmark EGX30 rose 1.39 percent to close at 51,437.78 points.
The EGX70 added 0.43 percent to 13,385.26 points, while the broader EGX100 gained 0.58 percent to 18,748.74 points.
