CAIRO - 9 August 2025: Potatoes ranked second among Egyptian agricultural exports, with a quantity exceeding 1.3 million tons, confirming their position as one of the most important strategic crops for the national economy.

These figures are the culmination of significant efforts to develop the Egyptian agricultural sector and improve production quality to meet global market demands.

Potato exports have witnessed remarkable growth in recent times, supported by increased foreign demand for Egyptian products, which are characterized by their high quality and diverse varieties.

European and Arab markets are among the most prominent importers of Egyptian potatoes, opening new horizons for increasing export volume in the future.

This success is due to several factors, most notably farmers' adoption of modern agricultural methods and the use of advanced irrigation technologies, in addition to government support for the agricultural sector and the provision of necessary facilities for exporters.

Strict quality control has also contributed to ensuring that the product reaches global markets in compliance with the highest health and environmental standards.

This achievement serves as an incentive for the Egyptian agricultural sector to continue developing and growing, and to work to strengthen the position of Egyptian agricultural products in global markets, contributing to increased national income and creating more job opportunities.
