GAFI, AfDB deliver training, consultations to 600 Egyptian entrepreneurs

CAIRO – 23 April 2024: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) concluded the Enhancement of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Project which had provided training and consultations to 600 entrepreneurs across 17 governorates.

The AfDB funded the project, while GAFI delivered the workshops through Fekretak Sherketak Center in addition to consultations - pertinent to finance, taxes, management, and technology – to 130 enterprises.   

In a related context, GAFI and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) joined forces in December to deliver a training programme to workers at 18 African investment agencies.

The training took place over five days focusing on investment promotion, attracting foreign investment, creating and operating investment maps, automating administrative procedures, and enhancing the performance of investor service centers.
