EGX ends midweek session on mixed note, market cap. gains LE 5.32B

CAIRO - 27 February 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday's session on a mixed note, adding around LE 5.32 billion to the market capitalization, amid foreign selling.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.94 percent, or 273.24 points, to end at 29,205.16 points.
 
On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 dropped 0.45  percent, or 33.77 points, to close at 7,542.38 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 inched down 0.01 percent, or 1.3 points, to 10,536.64 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 5.32 billion, recording LE 2.028 trillion, compared to LE 2.023 trillion in Monday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 1.38 million shares, traded through 218,505 transactions, with a turnover of LE 8.91 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 137.54 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 102.73 million, and LE 34.81 million, respectively.
 
Pyramisa Hotels, Arabian Cement Company, and Medical Packaging Company were top gainers of the session at 20 percent, 20 percent, and 19.97 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, A Capital Holding, Amer Group Holding, and Sharkia National Food were top losers of the session by 13.11 percent, 9.12 percent, and 8.46 percent, respectively.
