EGX flags in green Monday, market cap. gains LE 5.36B

CAIRO - 12 February 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 5.36 billion to the market capitalization, amid foreign purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 1.05 percent, or 295.68 points, to end at 28,494.72 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 0.18  percent, or 12.47 points, to close at 6,872.2 points.
 
Furthermore, the broader index EGX 100 inched up 0.06 percent, or 5.36 points, to 9,637.98 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 5.36 billion, recording LE 2 trillion, compared to LE 1.99 trillion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 997.37 million shares, traded through 144,887 transactions, with a turnover of LE 5.05 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net buyers at LE 167.79 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at LE 61.42 million, and LE 106.36 million, respectively.
 
Engineering Industries (ICON), Grand Investment Capital, and Development & Engineering Consultants were top gainers of the session at 19.95 percent, 12.78 percent, and 12.40 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC, Al Khair River for Development Agricultural Investment And Environmental Services, and Misr Hotels were top losers of the session by 13.13 percent, 5.63 percent, and 5.45 percent, respectively.
