EGX shows mixed performance Monday. market cap. gains LE8.21B

CAIRO - 25 September 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session on a mixed note, adding around LE 8.21 billion to the market capitalization, amid foreign purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.53 percent, or 106.86 points, to end at 20,320.56 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 declined 0.40 percent, or 15.22 points, to close at 3,812.64 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 increased 0.13 percent, or 7.14 points, to 5,688.05 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 8.21 billion, recording LE 1.376 trillion, compared to LE 1.368 trillion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 646.91 million shares, traded through 75,958 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.71 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net buyers at LE 181.74 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at LE 166.06 million, and LE 15.68 million, respectively.
 
Samad Misr -EGYFERT, TransOceans Tours, and International Agricultural Products were top gainers of the session at 17.73 percent, 10 percent and 9.74 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Raya Contact Center, the Egyptian Modern Education Systems, and Reacap Financial Investments were top losers of the session by 6.49 percent, 5.77 percent, and 5.73 percent, respectively.
