CAIRO – 24 August 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 6.27 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.41 percent, or 74.4 points, to end at 18,207.82 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 0.60 percent, or 22.19 points, to close at 3,702.17 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 increased 0.55 percent, or 29.71 points, to 5,443.64 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 6.27 billion, recording LE 1.239 trillion, compared to LE 1.233 trillion in Wednesday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 576.57 million shares, traded through 69,526 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.15 billion.
 
Arab investors were net buyers at LE 20.58 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 9.9 million, and LE 10.66 million, respectively.
 
Ceramic & Porcelain, Ismailia Misr Pourtly, and Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool were top gainers of the session at 19.69 percent, 13.69 percent and 10.53 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Delta Construction & Rebuilding, Ibnsina Pharma, and Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Investments were top losers of the session by 3.99 percent, 2.88 percent, and 2.81 percent, respectively.
