CAIRO - 22 May 2023: The Egyptian Minister of Planning, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, confirmed that the gross domestic product is expected record a growth rate of 4.1% at constant prices.
The minister explained that the gross domestic product during the year of the 2023/2024 plan, is expected to reach about EGP 11.4 trillion, compared to the value of the expected output for the previous year 2023/2022 is EGP 9.8 trillion, which is considered a growth rate of 4.1 at constant prices.
Hala Al-Saeed, delivered a report on the economic and social plan before the House of Representatives, which referred to the most important sectoral indicators in this regard as follows:
The report mentioned that high growth rates are expected to be achieved in the output of five sectors, which are, respectively:
Telecommunications 16.8 percent
Tourism 12 percent
Suez Canal 11.9 percent
Construction 6 percent
Health Services 5.2 percent
Educational services 5.1 percent
Agriculture 4.1 percent
The most important pillars on which the 2024/23 plan was based is represented in full commitment to the goals of the national strategy for human rights, an affirmation of the right to development, which the Egyptian state attaches paramount importance in its development orientation, consistency and compatibility with the objectives of the national agenda to achieve sustainable development by 2023.
