Egypt's GAFI chairman holds meetings with investors in UAE on sidelines of AIM2023

CAIRO – 14 May 2023: Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba met, on the sidelines of AIM2023 in the UAE, with the representatives of a number of companies and economic institutions.  

Those include AFKO Irrigation Systems; OACIS; Abu Dhabi Capital Group; Aqua Fun Water Park; Chalhoub Group; El Rabie Group; RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Fujairah Free Zone; WEBA; UNCTAD; World Economic Forum; Moscow Agency of Innovations; and Dubai FDI.

The meetings tackled joint cooperation, investment opportunities in Egypt, and chances of collaboration with investors in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, particularly in the field of oil storage.

Heiba also visited a number of factories in the free zone, agreeing on the organization of an Egyptian-Emirati business forum.
