The Embassy of Angola is organizing the Egypt-Angola 23rd private sector economic investment meetings. 15 Angolan companies and more than 40 Egyptian companies of Public Works, Construction and infrastructure, basic sanitation, roads and housing will be participating.

“These meetings will provide a platform for dialogue for reflection and the establishment of partnerships between entrepreneurs from the two countries, and the strengthening of intra-African cooperation,” the statement issued by the Embassy of Angola in Cairo, said.

This comes in line with Alberto Gregório dos Santos, Angola’s Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing Carlos, visiting Egypt this week to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the housing field.

Gregório’s visit will focus essentially on the new political-administrative centers, construction of highways and new urban centers.

Last week, The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed an increase in the net inflow of foreign direct investment into Egypt, recording about $5.7 billion during the period from July to December, compared to $3.3 billion in the same period in 2021.
