CAIRO –  28 February 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s session on a mixed note, losing around LE 3.44 billion of the market capitalization, amid foreign selling.
 
The benchmark EGX30 declined 0.56 percent, or 96.08 points, to end at 17,002.08 points. 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 dropped 0.27 percent, or 7.85 points, to end at 2,918.94 points.
 
 On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 0.18 percent, or 5.35 points, to close at 3,016.98 points, and the broader index EGX 100 inched up 0.09 percent, or 3.99 points, at 4,495.14 points.
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 3.44 billion, recording LE 1.085 trillion, compared to LE 1.088 trillion in Monday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 507.91 million shares, traded through 66,400 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.21 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 112.64 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 58.34 million, and LE 54.29 million, respectively.
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 10.86 million, and LE 139,158, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 41.8 million.
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 16.54 million, and LE 65.15 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 112.49 million.
 
Memphis Pharmaceuticals, North Cairo Mills, and Arab Developers Holding were top gainers of the session at 19.97 percent, 19.96 percent and 11.40 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Misr Fertilizers Production Company - Mopco, El Wadi For International and Investment Development, and El Wadi For International and Investment Development were top losers of the session by 6.23 percent, 4.94 percent, and 4.87 percent, respectively.
