CAIRO- 16 July 2017: Egypt and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will cooperate in the Egypt 2030 Vision for development, Minister of Planning Hala el-Said announced Sunday.

In a meeting with UNDP resident representative Richard Dictus, Said agreed to study methods of providing technical assistance from UN agencies to support Egypt’s national strategy.

Dictus proposed cooperating through the UN-accredited MAPS (Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support) program.

In a meeting earlier this month, Said discussed with the UNDP cooperation in the fields of raising efficiency of the governmental sector through the use of information technology and implementation of administrative reforms adopted by the cabinet.

The cooperation will enhance the cabinet's approach to create an efficient administrative body that is able to plan and manage state resources rationally to help it implement national programs and projects, the Planning Ministry said.
