CAIRO – 12 September 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session on a mixed note, adding around LE 3.84 billion to the market capitalization, amid Egyptian purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.75 percent, or 77.79 points, to end at 10,434.1 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 declined 0.05 percent, or 0.92 points, to end at 1,974.37 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 inched up 0.09 percent, or 2.11 points, to close at 2,290.07 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 0.10 percent, or 3.43 points, at 3,279.61 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 3.84 billion, recording LE 714.85 billion, compared to LE 711.01 billion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 824.44 million shares, traded through 59,804 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.63 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 330.18 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 37.23 million, and LE 292.96 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 73.11 million, and LE 4.19 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 3.43 million.
 
Arab and foreign organisations sold at LE 33.79 million, and LE 297.16 million, respectively, while Egyptian organisations bought at LE 257.07 million.
 
EL Ezz Aldekhela Steel - Alexandria, El Ahli Investment and Development, and Arab Cotton Ginning  were top gainers of the session at 15.26 percent, 14.92 percent and 11.66 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Ismailia National Food Industries, ODIN Investments, and Egyptians For Investment & Urban Development were top losers of the session by 7.06 percent, 6.83 percent, and 6.54 percent, respectively.
