CAIRO –  12 June 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session on a mixed note, losing around LE 5.32 billion of market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign selling.
 
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 declined 1.35 percent, or 137.88 points, to end at 10,097.55 points.
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 dipped 0.41 percent, or 7.38 points, to end at 1,792.58 points., and the broader index EGX 100 inched down 0.05 percent, or 1.39 points, to close at 2,763.74 points.
 
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 0.18 percent, or 3.41 points, to close at 1,860.92 points. 
 
 
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 5.32 billion, recording LE 668.53 billion, compared to LE 673.85 billion in Thursday’s session.
 
 
The trading volume reached 456.29 million shares, traded through 31,024 transactions, with a turnover of LE 537.7 million.
 
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 40.13 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 14.08 million, and LE 26.04 million, respectively.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 43.08 million, and LE 4.01 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 63,483.
 
 
Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 10.07 million,and LE 26.1 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 83.21 million.
 
 
Al Khair River For Development Agricultural Investment & Envir, Asek Company for Mining - Ascom, and Iron And Steel for Mines and Quarries were top gainers of the session at 19 percent, 7.57 percent and 5.94 percent, respectively.
 
 
Meanwhile, Juhayna Food Industries, Eastern Company, and Sharkia National Food were top losers of the session by 4.98 percent, 4.01 percent, and 3.43 percent, respectively.
