China allows importing grapes from Egypt

CAIRO - 14 July 2017: The Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) agreed to open the Chinese markets to the grapes imported from Egypt.

In a press release, the Egyptian Agriculture Export Council (AEC) said the step came after two years of intense negotiations.

The statement added that Egypt is now exporting grapes and citrus fruits to the Chinese markets.

The statement also said that negotiations are underway to allow exporting other Egyptian agricultural products to the Chinese markets.
