CAIRO –  21 April 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 8.59 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian and Arab purchases.
 
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.99 percent, or 103.38 points, to end at 10,548.14 points.
 
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 2.10 percent, or 37.76 points, to end at 1,833.79 points. 
 
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 jumped 4.72 percent, or 82.62 points, to close at 1,831.32 points, and the broader index EGX 100 increased 3.78 percent, or 100.71 points, to close at 2,767.75 points.
 
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 8.59 billion, recording LE 688.87 billion, compared to LE 680.28 billion in Wednesday’s session.
 
 
 
The trading volume reached 968.35 million shares, traded through 37,610 transactions, with a turnover of LE 968.35 million.
 
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 176.56 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 28.35 million, and LE 148.2 million, respectively.
 
 
 
Egyptian and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 61.69 million, and LE 21,188, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 18.55 million.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 90.05 million, and LE 129.65 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 176.53 million.
 
 
 
El Arabia Engineering Industries, ODIN Investments, and Atlas for Investment and Food Industries  were top gainers of the session at 19.98 percent, 19.95 percent and 17.59 percent, respectively.
 
 
 
Meanwhile, Kafr El Zayat Pesticides, Naeem Holding, and Osool ESB Securities Brokerage were top losers of the session by 12.04 percent, 7.34 percent, and 7 percent, respectively.
