EGX ends Monday in green, market cap. gains LE6.36B

CAIRO – 1 November 2021: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended second session of the week in green, adding around LE 6.36 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian and Arab purchases.

  

The benchmark EGX30 hiked 1.30 percent, or 148.08 points, to end at 11,568.27 points.

 

The equally weighted index EGX 50 rose 0.50 percent, or 10.6 points, to end at 2,130.31 points.

 

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 ascended 0.52 percent, or 11.94 points, to close at 2,316.58 points, and the broader index EGX100 increased 0.55 percent, or 18.08 points, to close at 3,305.42 points.
 

Market capitalization gained around LE 6.36 billion, recording LE 748.12 billion, compared to LE 741.76 billion in Sunday’s session.

 

The trading volume reached 425.76 million shares, traded through 41,972 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.33 billion.

 

Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 90.89 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 35.53 million, and LE 55.36 million, respectively.

 

Egyptian and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 105.66 million, and LE 1.51 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 12.63 million.

 

Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 141.19 million, and LE 42.73 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 89.38 million.

 

Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation, Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment, and Emerald Real Estate Investment were top gainers of the session at 19.94 percent, 19.91 percent and 10.05 percent, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad), Egyptian Real Estate Group, and Zahraa Maadi Investment & Development were top losers of the session by 19.57 percent, 10.04 percent, and 9.46 percent, respectively.

 

EGX ended Sunday in red as: EGX30 decreased 0.75 percent, EGX 50 inched down 0.51 percent, EGX 70 dipped 0.03 percent, and EGX100 dropped 0.37 percent.
