CAIRO – 4 July 2017: Kazakhstan is looking forward to increasing mutual trade and investment relations between Egypt and Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov said on Tuesday.

Rogov statements came during his visit to the Egyptian pavilion at the Astana Expo 2017 which is currently taking place from June 10 to September 10. More than 100 countries and 10 international organizations are taking part in the international exhibition, which showcases the achievements of participant nations and facilitates dialogue and exchange.

Egyptian-Kazakhstani relations have witnessed a major development since the visit of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to Astana in February 2016, Rogov added.

Over 148,000 visitors have visited Egypt’s pavilion at the exposition out of a total visitor number of 600,000, according to a statement from Head of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) Ahmed Taha.

The exposition's theme is "Future Energy", and aims to create a global debate between countries, nongovernmental organizations, companies and the general public on the crucial question: "How do we ensure safe and sustainable access to energy for all while reducing CO2 emissions?”
