KUWAIT CITY, March 9 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry conferred on Monday with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah on means of supporting joint cooperation in light of close relations binding the two countries.
The meeting, held at Bayan Palace, covered a set of issues of mutual concern, current challenges as well as the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
Earlier in the day, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry delivered a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah on the latest developments of the negotiations on Renaissance Dam.
In statements, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said Shoukry expressed Egypt's appreciation to the Kuwaiti stance which emerged during the recent ministerial meeting of the Arab League in which it supported an Arab decision siding with Egypt in the issue of Renaissance Dam.
Shoukry expressed the Egyptian government and people's appreciation to the Kuwaiti emir and people, saying Egypt lauds strong relations binding his country with Kuwait, Hafez said.
The Kuwait emir said his country sides with Egypt on the Ethiopian dam file to preserve its water rights and security, Hafez added.
