By Nadine El Sayed
For a dose of diversity, hit the Giza Arts Center tonight, showcasing the works of four artists in one area. The exhibition will open tonight and will include the works of renowned sculptor Hossam Ghariba. Ghariba, showcasing his sculptures at the Ragheb Ayad hall, is known for the political dimension of his artwork. He has been especially interested lately in portraying the current turbulent events the country has been undergoing. Next door, Ramy Douzy will be displaying his photography in the Ahmed Sabry hall. Douzy’s work is a mixture of different techniques and schools of arts and is best described as hyperrealism. He reflects the reality of Cairo’s streets through his multi-layered art that often combines photography, graphics and paintings. Painter Suzan Saad will showcase her oil paintings at Al Hussein Fawzy hall and the Kamal Khalifa hall will display “Exclamation Mark!” the oil paintings exhibition of artist Tamer Sayed. The exhibition will open tonight at 7:30 pm and will last until April 19 at the Gezira Art Center in Zamalek. Gezira Art Center: 1 El Marsafy street, Zamalek. Tel. +2 (02) 27373-298
